Maddie woke up screaming.
I heard her through the monitor and ran in there as fast as I could.
Me: What's wrong?
Maddie: I had a bad dream.
Me: What was it about?
Maddie: I was at Gamma's house and a woodpecker was pecking the house.
Me: (laughing to myself) It's ok. I'll lay with you for a while.
Maddie: Will you cuddle up my back?
Me: Ok.
She was asleep in a matter of minutes and I went back to my own bed.
I was woken up this morning at 7:30 by Gabe pounding on his door.
