My mom has been trying to get me to do the whole couponing thing for quite a while, so since I have 2 hours a day to myself I decided to start. Last week was my first week and I ended up getting an 8 pack of Irish Spring Bar Soap for $2.99 and getting a $2.00 ECB back to use this week.
This week I got a bunch of stuff and I think I did pretty well (although not as well as I thought I would do). I ended up spending $10.07 for all of this.
This is what I did:
Transaction #1
Purex - buy 2 - $5.98 with CVS Card - used $1.00 off coupon - OOP $4.98 - ECB = $1.99
Aleve Sinus & Headache - no coupon - OOP $3.99 - ECB = $3.00
Excedrin Express Gels - no coupon - OOP $3.99 - ECB = $3.99
Total = $12.96
- $2/$10 Coupon
-$2 ECB from last week
Tax = $0.60
Total Out of Pocket = $9.56
Transaction #2
Covergirl Wetslicks - buy 2 - $7.98 w/CVS Card - used BOGO coupon - OOP $3.99
Covergirl Eyeshadow - buy 1 - $2.99 w/CVS Card - Used $1.00 off coupon - OOP $1.99 - ECB = $3.00 when you buy $10 of Covergirl Products
Total = $10.97
- $3.99 ECB from Transaction #1
- $2/$10 Coupon
Tax = $0.30
Total Out of Pocket = $0.30
Transaction #3
Pert Plus - buy 2 - 2/$5 with CVS Card - Used $1.50 off coupon - OOP $4.48 - ECB = $2.00
Just For Men Hair Color - $7.99 with CVS Card - Used $2.00 off coupon - OOP $5.99 - $8.00 Rebate, so I will make some money
Total = $10.47
- $1.99 Purex ECB
- $3.00 Aleve ECB
- $3.00 Covergirl ECB
- $2/$10 Coupon
Tax = $0.21
Total Out of Pocket = $0.21
